A ‘good’ plenary summarises the main learning points and provides opportunities to get pupils thinking and / or talking together. Beadle suggests there are three things we should keep in mind when including plenaries in our lessons:
- Be planned in advance;
- Given sufficient time; and
- Ensure that it is the pupils who are doing the work.
